What is the Academy?
Academy is CCTools' content hub — curated articles and step-by-step guides written by the community.
Articles vs Guides
Academy posts come in two formats, each optimized for a different purpose:
Articles — Editorial long-form reads. Structure: kicker, reading focus, intro, sections (each with optional callouts, pull-quotes, and inline images), key points, takeaways, FAQ, resources, and a final CTA.
Guides — Hands-on step-by-step tutorials. Structure: estimated time, goal, prerequisites, what you'll build, numbered steps, troubleshooting, takeaways, resources, and a CTA.
The format is chosen when the post is written and drives both the author template and the reader layout.
Who Writes the Academy?
Anything published in Academy is either:
- Written by the CCTools editorial team, or
- Written by a community author and approved through the review flow
Each post page shows a rich Author Card with the writer's avatar, display name, Level, total XP, and a link to their public profile. Community posts without an attached author fall back to a "CCTools Editorial" byline.
Finding Posts
The Academy landing page lists the latest posts, filterable by format (article / guide) and by topic tag. Individual posts also surface:
- More from author — Up to 3 other recent posts by the same writer
- Related posts — Posts sharing tags with the one you're reading
- Related projects — Ecosystem projects referenced in the post
