Overview
Canton Network is a privacy-enabled interoperable blockchain network designed for institutional use. Unlike traditional blockchains, Canton uses DAML smart contracts and supports atomic transactions across multiple applications.

Who Built Canton?
Canton Network was created by Digital Asset and is governed by a consortium of major financial institutions acting as Super Validators. The network is designed to bring institutional finance on-chain while maintaining the privacy and compliance requirements that regulated entities need.
