Two Feeds in One Page
The News page has two channels behind a tab switcher at the top:
- News β Curated Canton Network coverage from the web. Items are pulled from Google News and RSS sources, then summarized by an LLM so you can get the essentials in a sentence or two without clicking through.
- Community β Member-submitted posts: announcements, takes, threads, write-ups, and updates shared by other CCTools users.
Each tab shows a live count of how many items exist in that channel so you always know how much there is to read.
How Often It Updates
News ingestion runs every 10 minutes. The pipeline:
- Queries Google News (via Serper) for Canton-related keywords
- Merges items from curated RSS feeds
- Deduplicates across publishers using a normalized title key β the same story from two outlets only appears once
- Runs an LLM summary on each new article
- Publishes to the feed
The community feed updates in real time as new posts are submitted and approved.
Reading an Item
Click any item to open its detail page, which shows the full summary, source link, publication date, and any related Canton projects mentioned. For community posts, you also see the author's Level β the same author card shown on Academy posts.
