Notification Categories

CCTools sends notifications for several distinct events:

  • New content — New projects, Earn opportunities, campaigns, Academy posts, and Learn paths
  • Your submissions — Status updates when your submitted project, opportunity, or post is approved / rejected / needs changes
  • Upvotes & engagement — When your content receives upvotes or comments
  • Referrals — When a referred user completes tasks or confirms their referral
  • Governance alerts — When new Super Validator proposals open or close
  • System — Account security events (new login, password change, 2FA changes)

In-App vs Email

Every notification appears in the bell dropdown in the top bar. You can additionally enable email delivery per category in Settings → Notifications.

Emails are batched every 10 minutes — you'll never get a flood of separate emails. Each batch is a single digest covering everything that happened in that window.

Security-sensitive notifications (login from new device, password reset) are always sent by email and cannot be disabled.

Turning Things Off

Go to Settings → Notifications to toggle each category independently. You can also use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email to quickly turn off the category that sent it.
